Our Registered Chiropodists are enthusiastic and dedicated with experience in all aspects of foot health including surgical procedures, custom orthotic therapy, wound care, skin and nail pathologies, diabetic patient care and above all want to provide you education and preventative measures to improve your foot condition.

Stephanie Playford D.Ch
Registered Chiropodist/Owner

Burlington Health Focus Foot care Clinic was founded by Stephanie and has been providing quality foot care since January of 1997. Stephanie graduated in 1995 from the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences Chiropody program and holds an Advanced Diploma in Chiropodial Medicine. She is a registered member of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario as well as a member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine, the Ontario Society of Chiropodists and the Burlington Diabetes Collaborative Group. Stephanie is also an educator with the Halton Diabetes Program. Stephanie has been a Burlington Post Readers Choice Award Winner since 1998.

Arezou Hassani B.Sc., D.Ch.
Registered Chiropodist

Arezou graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Psychology. She then continued her education at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences where she successfully completed the Chiropody program. She gained valuable experience from her clinical rotations around the GTA, completing her residency at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, the largest rehabilitation hospital in Canada. As well as joining the team at Burlington Health Focus, Arezou provides Chiropody services at Baycrest Hospital, which specializes in geriatric care and research. Her areas of interest are diabetic wound care, high risk patients and biomechanics.

Anabela Lopes
Registered Chiropodist

Anabela received her Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from Western University and then went on to study Chiropody at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN where she graduated with distinction. During her last clinical year, Anabela was a guest speaker at the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine Conference, where she lectured on innovative acute Charcot foot syndrome treatments, and received the Dr. Brian Brodie Memorial Award for Research. Anabela is a member of the College of Chiropody, Ontario Society of Chiropodists and the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine. In addition to English, she also speaks Portuguese.

Colleen Devine
Podiatric Assistant

Colleen graduated from Georgian College in 2012 with an Office Administration- Executive Diploma. She began her Podiatric career in 2013 as an office assistant in North Bay, which lead into taking on the role of Podiatric Assistant. She has training in Podofix nail bracing, MedX laser treatment, Photodynamic fungal treatment, padding and strapping, shoe fitting and orthotic modification.
